Six roles are open. Each one lists what the work involves and what we expect you to bring. You can apply for more than one.
Workshop presenter
- Prepare and deliver workshops that connect AI to a real subject
- Bring your own angle: AI and cinema, AI and psychology, whatever you know
- Turn a complex idea into something a class can actually hold onto
What you need: A strong interest in AI and a clear topic to propose. Being able to explain a complex idea creatively is the part that matters.
Website developer
- Manage and improve the official site
- Shape how the site reads, not just how it runs
- Keep it quick and usable on a phone as well as a laptop
What you need: Basic experience building for the web, WordPress or HTML and CSS or anything similar, plus a sense of layout, navigation and how to tell a story digitally.
Social media and design
- Make content for Instagram, LinkedIn and wherever else we are
- Help with branding and visuals
- Video and graphic design, if that is your thing
What you need: A strong eye and a feel for storytelling. This one suits students who already make things.
School and global outreach
- Contact schools and potential collaborators
- Extend WIKAIR's reach into places it has not gone yet
- Carry a conversation from first email to a booked workshop
What you need: Good communication and writing. Initiative and cultural sensitivity count for a lot here, since you are often the first WIKAIR someone meets.
Fundraising
- Support sponsorship and grant research
- Help write funding proposals
- Keep track of who we asked, and what they said
What you need: An interest in social entrepreneurship or business. Strong writing and organisation help more than any prior fundraising experience.
Or propose your own
- Have a skill none of the above covers? Tell us what it is
- Have an idea WIKAIR is not doing yet? Propose it
- Say how you would like to contribute, and we will talk
Our roles and projects are continuously evolving as WIKAIR grows, so new opportunities may be added while you are exploring or completing your application. If you don't see the right fit today, check back for new roles, or propose your own.
What you need: A fresh idea or a skillset, and a sentence on how you would use it here. We like creativity more than we like tidy categories.
