In Mas Camarena we did 3 workshops in total, AI + Coding, AI + Vibe Coding, AI in Entrepreneurship and AI + Cinema/Media.

We started with Ivy Zhang doing Coding where for 70 min she explained about how AI is used in coding and a deep dive into vibe coding where students experimented with a few AI tools and even saw how an AI Chatbot is programmed. The students were also able to debate about the use of AI in coding and its ethical dilemmas.

Then, Mateo Llorente for 35 mins explained how AI can be used for the 4 stages of launching a business and about KPIs and the students were asked to create a business plan for a small coffee shop that’s competing with Starbucks using AI. The workshop ended with a conclusion about the ethical aspects of using AI in business.

Finally, Elisabeth Arcon and Daniel Tasker did their workshop on AI and Media. Firstly, Elisabeth explained how AI is used to make movies nowadays and after that Dan talked about the ethics of using AI in Cinema which led room for the students to make their own conclusions on the topic.

In Cambridge house there were 5 workshops in total: AI + Coding, AI+ Vibe Coding, AI + Maths, AI in Entrepreneurship and AI + Cinema.

We started off with Ivy doing a workshop of AI + Coding to students for students doing Computer Science IGCSE. Here Ivy explained how you can use AI to help you code but also explored the question of if it actually helps with your code or does it loose its quality.

Then Ivy continued her second presentation for students doing A-level Computer Science where Ivy explained a new type of coding where it centers more on the idea rather than the coding itself by using prompt engineering.

Both of these workshops had a lot of interactive activities using laptops

After that Alejandro presented his first ever workshop of AI + maths where he explained about all the algorithms that go behind AI systems and machine learning. In the end the students had the opportunity to ask questions to our advisor Wende Zhang about any technical aspects of the topic.

Then Mateo presented the workshop of AI + business (same as Mas Camarena) and many students presented their own ideas of how to compete against big branches like Starbucks and each group presented their ideas in front of everybody. In the end the students were able to think about “If an AI does a mistake, who’s fault is it” which ended in a debate between the students.

The session concluded with a very fun session of AI + Media (also, same as Mas Camarena) where the students where able to experiment with AI and see the differences of using and not using AI
